Ladies Wot Write was first formed in 2009 after working together in ‘Year of the Edit’, a series of workshops held at the Queensland Writers Centre under the tutelage of Kim Wilkins.

As emerging writers onto the spec fic scene it is important for us to meet regularly (at least once a month) to critique, share tips on networking, discuss topics that concern us as writers, brainstorm ideas or nut out things that just aren’t working, drink coffee, and laugh. Laugh at ourselves and our writing and not take ourselves too seriously. Remembering and being reminded to enjoy the writing process no matter what.

And most importantly, being there for each other, not just as writers, but as women who write or in this case ‘Ladies Wot Write’.
